Gah! I love spray paint! I was inspired by my good friend, Brandy, to do a mini kitchen makeover. I really really hate my kitchen cabinets, but my hubby is adamant about not painting them. Mostly because he will have to do all the work and he likes wood. Why are all men like this!? It drives me batty. So, I decided that I would paint some accessories in the kitchen to update it a bit. I found the brown spray paint at Walmart for $2.97. It's Krylon brand, "Leather Brown." Can I just say yummy? It's my new favorite color. The brown accent looks delightful with the black, white and pumpkin color. I used my Cricut for the lettering with the George Basic cartridge.
You can find the tutorial for the monogrammed knife block HERE. The plates were spray painted and letters were glued on. I wrapped and glued some ribbon around the glass containers I found in my storage after spring cleaning (see? spring cleaning isn't so bad!). The paper towel and banana holder were spray painted as well. I'm lovin' the new look for under $6.00!

Wow! I love it! I love the knife block especially. That looks fantastic. Hey, I wanted to let you know that I am making your fruit dip tonight. It looks SOOO yummy. We are hosting a pizza/movie night with friends over here and I am going to use it in a fruit pizza! I'll post pics next week (and give you the credit of course :) Thanks for posting the recipe! I think the yogurt will make it so much better than what I usually use (marshmallow cream + cream cheese).
